Plywood
Plywood is a wood derivative product produced from the beginning of the 20th century onwards. Mainly used in mid-century curved furniture, it often presents delamination between the sheets of plywood that need to be glued together appropriately to retain its technical properties and strength.
Chair presented at the Salon des Arts Ménagers in the 1960's
The chair presented delamination between some of the plywood, particularly around the curves, as well as lacunae. The lacunae were filled and the sheets of plywood glued together and consolidated.
